Have fun while raising money to support abused and neglected children in Chicago!
Participate in Lawrence Hall Youth Services' Bowl-a-thon on Thursday, March 4, at 10 pin Bowling Lounge (330 North State Street Chicago, IL 60654) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in one of these ways:
1. Make a donation to a bowler (http://lawrencehall.dojiggy.com/lynnefranklin)
2. Register to become a bowler (for $100) or attend the event without bowling (for $40) (https://lawrencehall.dojiggy.com/registration2/index.cfm?EventID=5799&isgr=1)
Kids and families are welcome!
Lawrence Hall supports 1,100 children in Chicagoland each year who otherwise would be on the street, in jail or dead. It does this in four ways:
· A 1st-12th grade alternative school—with a 95% graduation rate versus 59% for Chicago Public Schools
· Residential treatment—giving shelter and counseling to kids so they can return home or move into foster care
· Foster care—providing a safe environment for children who can’t go home because of abuse or neglect
· Programs to help young men and women ages 17-21—so they can successfully move from the child welfare system to a life on their own
Each of these kids has a past that would horrify you—and you have the opportunity to give all of them a secure present and hopeful future.
