Chicago Bears

And so alas, it is not to be in Chicago this year.  The fever has been cooled, the excitement and energy squelched.  All that  is left
is the disappointment, the frustration.  The largest amount of noise and energy took place during the National Anthem.  The first possession for Green Bay so deftly carried out, plays so effortlessly executed, ended up in a touchdown.   (Cue sound of wind coming out of sails)

As we Chicago fans picked our chins from the floor, there was no doubting the sick feeling in the pits of our stomach that this wasn't going to go well.
Sadly it continued, until we found ourselves going into the locker room at the half, down 14-0.

We Chicago fans are optimists though as our Bears are a second half kind of team.  Excited for the 3rd quarter to begin, hopes dashed rapidly as Cutler wasn't cuttin' it.  Okay so since I am definitely not a sports writer and pretty much just a fan, I won't go on about what happened as the sports blogs can fill you in much better, but I can tell you that our QB was injured and left the game, our back up guy didn't do so hot, and the 3rd string guy did fairly well and actually got us up to 14 points, but in the end, it was too little too late and the Bears go down in the end.  I am just thankful not to be out in the Chicago bars dealing with a bunch of rowdy Green Bay fans.

In the end, I will say that I will still wear the Orange and Blue colors proudly.  We love our BEARS!!!
